St. Louis Skylights' New Office and Showroom in Chesterfield Valley

Effective the first week of May, 2010, St. Louis Skylights and our parent company, National Skylight Solutions, will occupy new offices in an upscale office building at 234 Trade Center Boulevard in Chesterfield Valley. Our new location is just one block west of our previous offices near Edison Avenue and Chesterfield Industrial Blvd.

We're very excited to provide our homeowners as well as our construction trade partners these new modern facilities, including a more spacious showroom with Velux displays and product information. Our new larger warehouse space will enable us to keep in stock more Velux skylights for retail sale than any other local distribution outlet. The expanded facilities were needed to due to the success of St. Louis Skylights and the continued growth of National Skylight Solutions, which has opened four new skylight branch offices within the past three years.

St. Louis Skylights Achieves A+ Rating from The Better Business Bureau of St. Louis

St. Louis Skylights has earned an A+ rating for 2009 from The Better Business Bureau (BBB) of St. Louis.

The BBB assigns ratings by evaluating businesses in numerous categories, including the number, if any, of complaints from the businesses' customers, whether the business has responded to the complaints, and whether the complaints have been resolved in a timely manner or the business had demonstrated it made a good faith effort to resolve them. The rating is determined by a proprietary formula that represents BBB's opinion as to 1) the importance of each category, and 2) the appropriate score given to the business for each category.

Federal Tax Credits Available on New Super Efficient Velux Sun Tunnels and Solar Blinds

Velux has introduced a new Super Efficient (SE) Series Sun Tunnel tubular skylight that is eligible for a federal tax credit of 30% of the product cost up to a maximum credit of $1,500.

The new SE Series TMR Sun Tunnel has a U-factor and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) of <= 0.30, which meets the Energy Star criteria for the tax credit. The new product has a new acrylic dome design that reduces the SHGC factor and a secondary diffuser assembly that reduces the U-factor.

Velux solar blinds for use with Velux skylights qualify for a 30% tax credit of the product and installation. Solar blinds control the amount of heat and light that enters your room and are available in blackout and light diffusing versions.

The tax credits are available as a result of The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). More information is available at www.doe.gov/taxcredit
